The Alexandria Bar's Young Lawyer Group is dedicated to supporting the Alexandria Bar Association, the local community, and our young lawyers. The group hosts regular events including a monthly networking event. At these events, young lawyers (generally defined as 37 and younger) can meet new attorneys, learn about the Alexandria Bar Association, and make connections in the community.
In addition to monthly networking events, the group hosts other special events throughout the year. In October 2013, for example, the Young Lawyers hosted a social gathering for two Pegasus Scholars from England. The Pegasus Scholarship is an exchange program, wherein young English barristers travel to the United States for six weeks to learn about the legal system. Young Lawyers also recently volunteered in the 7th Annual Community Service Day for Spring for Alexandria.
If you are a young lawyer or you would like to find out more about the Alexandria Bar Association's Young Lawyer Group, please contact the bar office. You can also contact the Young Lawyer Committee Contacts to the right to check out the Facebook page for additional information.
